I dragged the ladder over to the Saguaro again today… Obviously, this plant is still tall… even with the ladder I am still looking up!  I waited quite a while for a bird to show up… but I guess me being on a ladder wasn’t part of the fine dining experience they had been expecting.

  1. Love this image. Great perspective.

  2. Very nicely done. The colors of the cactus are set off perfectly against the blue sky.

  3. Those colors against the crisp blue sky are super! Nice composition too.

  4. That slice of red and green cactus against the blue sky is perfect!

  5. Fantastic shot! I like the way you framed this with the arc of the saguaro. colors are beautiful too.

  6. Great colors, such impressive plants in every way.

  7. Doris, those are the fruit. They look kind of yummy. My understanding is that the Tohono O’odham (Papago) Indians make wine from this fruit. I bet its good! Someone also makes tea from it.. and I guess candy. I love the Saguaro Cactus… they each have such a unique personality.

  8. Are those the cactus fruit? I have only seen the saguaro in pictures. Love the beautiful reds and greens!

  9. Next time try it with stilts, then take a photo of your hands, or better yet get someone else to. Those red things look like baby spines to me all clustered for protection that they won’t need in adult life!
