The park is still in the midst of the big sewer dig and somehow the diggers nicked an electric wire… which put the electricity out for half the park.  This was the same day as the “massive” afternoon storm, which probably made the repairs that much more difficult.  This truck pulled up after dark in the site across from our RV to replace the whole electric box unit.  I decided to pull out the camera and tripod and see what I could do with bright strobe light.  I’m positive that my fellow residents have confirmed that I’m a crazy woman for taking photos of the truck in the dark… but isn’t that the cost of our hobby? The strobe light didn’t work out the way I expected, but I do like the results anyway.

  1. Whatever it takes to get the shot. LOL I like the result, lighting, electricity is the first thing the mind says when looking at this.

  2. A great low light exposure.

  3. I love how you captured the lighting of the work site!! Great camera work!

  4. Nice capture! Personally I don’t think you’re crazy! To digress – I took pictures of my son’s soccer team. During a break I started taking photos of the the flowers/weeds. The boys commented to my son on what I was doing. He just shrugged off with “That’s what she does!”

  5. I LOVE the way it came out. When I first looked at it, it kind of had an “electric” look to it. I applaud your boldness-I’m a little shy when it comes to photographing in public. I might get an image, but sometimes I feel somewhat uncomfortable.

I enjoy reading what you do with Aperture 3 and its’ an encouragement to me. I would love if you would send me your email. Sometimes I have questions and you’re the only other person I know that uses it. If you don’t want to, it’s ok to.

  6. Great processing and what a great e word…I would have never thought of this (and both my dad and brother are electricians) LOL

  7. Get over to Madelaines Blog she has Indian Manufactured SEwers, they have to be on special. LOL Great Danger shot this.

  8. A wonderful glow in all of this, being thought a bit nutty is a small price to pay 😉
